Hello and welcome to my personal website! My name is Christopher Tams, and I’m a data analyst with a strong foundation in machine learning, data visualization, and platform development. With a B.A. in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego, focused on Machine Learning and Neural Computation, I specialize in turning data into insight-driven solutions that push technology forward and engage audiences in meaningful ways.

My journey began in a first-generation immigrant household, where I learned the value of perseverance and adaptability early on. Those experiences shaped my relentless drive to learn, grow, and take on new challenges head-first.

At UC San Diego, I honed my skills in programming, statistical analysis, and neural networks. My academic path included a Math minor and hands-on work in data wrangling, machine learning, and visualization, preparing me for real-world problem solving in tech and business.

One of my proudest achievements is building a Fantasy Football AI chatbot, combining web scraping, MySQL, and neural networks to deliver weekly projections and interactive user experiences for fans. This project helped me bridge my passions for sports and machine learning in a creative way.

I’ve also led multiple impactful internships and projects. At Human Health Project, I contributed to improving website accessibility and created dashboards with Tableau and Power BI for donor outreach and engagement. At Mentalab, I supported marketing and product operations for EEG technology through business analysis, demos, and CRM management.

Currently, I work as a Buffer Technician at LGC Biosearch, supporting buffer production and inventory workflows. In parallel, I lead Algorize Football—an NFL fan engagement platform where I develop content automation tools and predictive analytics for social media and web.

Outside of work, I love basketball, hiking, and staying active in my community. I’ve taken on leadership roles in service projects aimed at supporting underserved youth, and I continue to seek opportunities to make a positive impact beyond the tech space.

This journey is just getting started. With every project and collaboration, I aim to sharpen my skills, solve meaningful problems, and contribute to the evolving world of AI and data science.
